This little hidden gem is amazing. Coming here you would be impressed not only by the service but also the food here. The taco salad is one of my favs and well the burritos are off the hook. To be honest every thing on the menu here is worth trying. The staff are super friendly and polite. The lazy Gecko is hands down one of the best places in sooke to eat. So next time you’re out here bring a friend and enjoy some amazing food.

Seriously delicious Mexican food. They offer lots of choices for your tacos (whether you prefer more traditional or Tex Mex) and everything was delicious. We had the tortilla soup, tacos (camarones (shrimp) and pollo de mole (chicken mole which is like a savoury chocolate sauce)), and the churros. All were excellent. Our waitress was exceptional - knowledgeable about the menu, had great recommendations, showed up exactly when we needed her and very friendly. Definitely recommend!

We had a good experience here. Really brought us back to Mexico. The food was OK. The chicken in my Enchilada was plain and pretty dry but the sauces were really good. The atmosphere of the place is awesome, The service was good too but only one server on and she got pretty swammped. All in all a pretty fun time.

What a gem. Our server (Elena) is the real gem here. The food is tasty, the chairs were cozy. There's a lovely view of the water. Most of the menu can be veganized. But it's not really written out very well on the menu. But, rest assured, Elena was supper knowledgeable and took really great care of us.

Food looked pretty good upon arrival but we found it to be fairly bland. The young lady serving was excellent , she appeared to be doing everything on the floor including making the drinks herself. She did good to keep up with the lunch rush. I would give the food a 3.5 out of 5 .

Our last spot to check before leaving the island and this restaurant was very interesting to check out! The name is so silly and I love it. The food was so heart warming and made me full for sure! Flavours were great and the service was top notch. Definitely coming back again when we’re on the island :)
